It
is a wonderful thing to be able to look back to the days when I
had cancer, and I now look back almost two and a half years. Not
that I count the days, I dont live like that, but technically
its recorded somewhere in my mind. And my mind certainly became
trained to be so attentive I had to take my healing matters
into my own hands when a few doctors offered nothing positive in
the way of restoring me back to total health.
After
five years of trying everything under the sun to heal from very
late-stage cancer, I went into remission after being treated by
an extraordinary doctor over in Germany. Because Prof. Jens Atzpodien
works on a whole other level of expertise with a truly awesome amount
of knowledge, both Carla and myself find ourselves turning into
the kinds of success stories we dreamed about becoming.
I
am now enjoying applying my energies toward creating the life that
I am here to live. I am in the midst of writing a book on how to
manage the healing process - a very important project I believe,
and am doing more inspirational speaking. I am starting a personal
life coaching practice, continuing what I have been doing for many
years both through my roles as a course director for Outward Bound
mountaineering courses, being a mediator for Boulder County, and
consulting many patients who have needed guidance in dealing with
disease. I get out and climb, run and play very often, and live
every moment rather fully.
